SEN English Teacher in Basingstoke Start ASAP Pay £130 - £230 per day (depending on experience) Location - Basingstoke Hours - 8am - 4PM Temporary Full-time with the potential to become permanent About the role: Supply Desk are working with a SEN school based in Basingstoke that are seeking an English teacher to support students. The role will be teaching all elements of English with some general cover, with time allowed for planning and marking. The school is looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge, good classroom management, and a positive approach to teaching and building relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable skills or build upon existing experience in an education setting. Overview: Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a SEN school based in the Basingstoke area on a long-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract. The role would be starting ASAP on a long-term contract until at least July 2025. The successful candidate will be teaching English to students. About the School: The school is a mixed SEN school based in Basingstoke for students aged from 4+ years with around 100 students in total. The SEN needs in the school are SEMH, SLCN, ADHD, and ASC. The school has a good reputation and has supportive team members that care deeply for their values. The school also provides free onsite parking. The ideal candidate will: Be a committed team player Have SEND experience (desirable) Proven track record of raising attainment Be confident and adaptable to different environments Have strong classroom management skills Be able to deliver English in a fun and engaging way that students can relate to Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one You will be required to work confidently with Key Stage 3-5 pupils.
