Are you a confident, adaptable individual with a passion for education? We are seeking a
full-time Cover Supervisor
to join a vibrant secondary school in
Portsmouth . This is an exciting opportunity to step into a dynamic educational environment, making a real difference in students' learning journeys. Key Responsibilities: Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a variety of subjects. Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere. Support students with their learning as needed and address any queries. Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the smooth running of the school. What We Are Looking For: Excellent communication and organisational skills. Confidence in managing groups of students and maintaining classroom control. A flexible and proactive approach to work. Previous experience in a school environment or working with young people is desirable but not essential. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
