Join a multinational FPSO oil and gas company who are recruiting for a Senior HSSE Engineer on permanent staff basis. The role is based in Aberdeen with requirements for occasional offshore travel. As the Senior HSSE Engineer, as part of the Operations Asset Team, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities: Developing and maintaining HSSE procedures and forms for the FPSO and in country operational office(s). As appropriate, approves or rejects Management of Change and Deviation Requests from an HSSE perspective. Participating in HAZIDs, HAZOPs and facilitate safety studies updates. Ownership and responsibility of the Vessel Safety Case. Collaborating with other disciplines on SECE Performance Standards review, update and development. Reviewing incident reports and assists in identifying direct, indirect and root causes and actions to enable effective close-outs. Leading or participating in incident investigations. Responsible for provision of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental advice and support to FPSO and in country operational offices. Representing the business with consultants, authorities, and clients on HSSE matters when required. Monitoring UK operational compliance to internal and relevant national and international HSSE standards and legislation. Education and experience: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Technical, Marine or ProcessEngineering. Formal qualifications in health and safety management. Relevant experience may replace formal qualifications. Minimum of 5 years in offshore FPSO industry. Working knowledge of UK HSE standards and legislation. Experience in safety case management. Previous work experience in UK Offshore oil and gas sector in an Operational/HSE role is preferred. Procedures and documentation development and review. Internal and vendor prequalification auditing. Classification Society and Flag State rules and regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, etc. Able to travel to offshore locations and in-country operational offices.
