Permanent Staff, Hybrid A global leading energy company is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering team in Basingstoke on a permanent staff basis. This is a key leadership role where you will provide technical and organisational leadership across a wide range of projects, including studies, design, troubleshooting, commissioning, and decommissioning. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will manage project teams and work activities to ensure goals are met on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical engineering activities for various projects and studies. Competently engineer electrical systems following procedures and plans. Supervise design teams to ensure technical standards and project timelines are met. Conduct short-term visits to operational sites and global and regional offices. Manage discipline interfaces, coordinate teams, and expedite project workflows. Prepare man-hour estimates and project planning for proposals. Critically review and improve business technical standards and procedures. Ensure compliance with new legislation affecting plant design and safety. Key Requirements:

Extensive leadership experience in electrical engineering, preferably in upstream Oil & Gas. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Expertise in electrical engineering (Power Generation, Distribution, Transmission). Experience in Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering for Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore). Skilled in power system studies, electrical design, and technical specifications. Proficiency in IEC standards, best practices, and ETAP software. Experience with Floating Units and offshore work certifications are desirable. Chartered Engineer status and MEng qualification preferred. Company Information
