About the role Due to success and growth following the launch of the Qualitas Compliance, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Senior or Principal Fire Consultant. Although we plan to publish this opportunity externally, we encourage any current employee who is interested in the role to apply. Key Responsibilities Assisting with delivery of the Qualitas Compliance Fire Safety Consultancy scope to include the following: Early liaison and providing professional advice to clients and design teams in relation to Building Regulations Part B design fire safety matters Formulation of fee proposals Production of initial stage observations reports and mark up drawings Attendance at design team meetings to present and discuss fire safety elements Production of fire strategy reports and mark up drawings Development of fire strategy reports in line with RIBA stages Managing fee flow for projects including invoicing Assisting the business development strategy including client presentations where beneficial Using the Deltek system to manage early stage advice, fee proposals, instructions, reports, drawings and correspondence. Qualification and Technical Requirements Academically qualified to relevant degree level Membership of a relevant professional body such as CABE, RICS, CIOB Substantial experience with fire safety assessment of commercial and residential design schemes An understanding of related fire safety features such as insurer requirements An understanding of forthcoming industry changes such as introduction of the new Building Safety Regulator and associated gateways, draft revisions to guidance, Government public consultations etc Substantial experience of construction methods and sequencing Personal Requirements Team player Enquiring, forward thinking and professional approach Strong interpersonal skills Commitment to the business’ ongoing success Company Culture We have multiple examples of people choosing to develop their career within Hickton Group and work hard to retain our best talent.
