In this strategic role you will be responsible for driving the aero development of assigned car parts forward, pursuing current directions and investigating new concepts.
Responsibilities
Areas that play to your strengths: All the responsibilities we'll trust you with: Aerodynamics Work with Leadership and the Aero Development Group to construct a mutually agreed and communicated Aerodynamic Development Plan for the Group to achieve performance targets given by Aero Leadership. Under the direction of the Aerodynamics Team Leader, lead and manage the technical work within the Aero Development Group to ensure a highly competitive Aerodynamic Package for our Formula One cars to agreed deadlines. Personally contribute to Aerodynamic Development work within the group and cross-group. Conduct personal analyses and surface own ideas. Liaise with Design Office and other key stakeholders to ensure Aerodynamic designs are pragmatically and performantly realizable on the car. Innovation and Professionalism Communicate key findings, opportunities and threats to key stakeholders within Aero Development and Tools and other key areas of the Company. Promote an ambitious, positive, respectful, logical, and collegiate approach to Aero Development within a clear strategic framework. Provide mentorship and guidance to Group members in order to achieve personal and performance targets. Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of projects. This will include weekend work and occasional overseas travel. What we offer

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Extensive experience in aerodynamics, particularly in the context of Formula 1. Experience developing in C++, Python, and bash. Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies. Remarkable attitude in problem solving and attention to details. Self-motivated and with a flexible approach to working hours. Ability to scope all tasks thoroughly. Delivers timely information and reporting (delivering to deadlines set on the job list and keeping on top of communication). Initiative and Innovation. Ability to work with the team, external suppliers, and colleagues. Travel 0-10%.
