We are thrilled to be working alongside one of the world’s leading developers of Flow Assurance technology, assisting in their search for a Firmware Engineer to join their existing design team in Somerset! Working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, you will deliver effective and fit-for-purpose solutions to customers globally. You will need to be proactive, hands-on and driven to ensure the delivery of all activities in line with agreed deadlines. Your Main Responsibilities: – Fulfil requirements of the development life cycle from research and concept through to final manufacture. – Contribute to project plans to influence project timescales. – Develop and provide cost estimates in collaboration with all business disciplines. – Present analysis results and project solutions to key stakeholders – Develop and execute functional and non-functional test specifications to ensure compliance requirements. – Development and preparation of technical records and reports as may be necessary to demonstrate compliance with associated specifications and any relevant standards. Your Skills and Experience: – Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Software or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience. – Previous industrial design experience in harsh environmental conditions. – Proven experience in analysing, designing, testing, debugging and enhancing existing/new products used in an industrial environment. – Experience in task and defect management, requirements capture, verification and validation tools. – Proven experience in embedded C programming to coding guidelines. – Unit testing/regression testing experience. – Willingness to travel. – Can effectively communicate technical information with a non-technical audience. – Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
