A tier one multi-disciplinary are looking for a Principal Highways Engineer to take a leading position with their SDF Maintenance team working on National Highways schemes across the North of England. You would be joining a busy multi-disciplinary office in Salford Quays and instantly take on a team lead position.

As a Principal Highways Engineer, it will be your responsibility to oversee the technical output of your team, project manage the individual maintenance schemes, and deliver them to National Highways on time and within budget.

Whilst Chartership with the ICE is ideal, it is not essential for this role. In order to be successful in your application as a Principal Highways Engineer, you will need to show your experience of leading your own schemes and the ability to lead others. A technical highways background is also vital as you will need to be able to review and correct, if necessary, your team's designs.

Principal Highway Engineer Requirements

Degree/Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent. C Eng/I Eng with appropriate Institution (ICE, CIHT, RGS, CIWEM) is desirable or working towards achieving this. Knowledge of National Highways design using DMRB and other Highways England standards. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. Experience of leading a small team on major National Highways SDF Maintenance schemes.
