We are currently working with a company looking for a Data Scientist to join their team in Newcastle with the opportunity for hybrid working.
The role:
As an early team member, you'll be instrumental in shaping our credit risk models and data strategy. Key responsibilities include: Developing alternative data credit default models and scorecards. Leading exploratory approaches to credit modelling and continuous improvement. Ensuring robust testing and regulatory compliance for our models. Collaborating with founders on data strategy and stakeholder management. Supporting future fundraising efforts. What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience in consumer lending or credit risk (fintech experience is a plus). Proven track record in building consumer credit risk scorecards. Experience with Open Banking data. Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and time-series data analysis. Full ML lifecycle experience: design, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
