Job Description Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, diverse engineering team. Shape and further grow the function to deliver a world-class solution. Oversee the development and delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality SaaS products, including a migration strategy for legacy products. Drive innovation to deliver exceptional user experiences and stay ahead of market trends. Implement best practices for software development, CI/CD, QA, and DevOps. Put the company on a path to adopt Agile. Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of SaaS platforms and infrastructure. Monitor and optimize engineering processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Establish and maintain secure development practices to protect customer data and systems. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Proactively address risks and implement robust disaster recovery plans. Plan and manage engineering budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Rationalize, evaluate, and implement technology tools and platforms that align with business goals. There is a legacy tech stack in place that needs a fresh look. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor developments. Represent the company as a technical thought leader in the SaaS community and at industry events. The Successful Applicant Proven background in leading engineering teams in a SaaS environment at Director/VP level or above. Strong background in software development, architecture, and scalable system design. Deep understanding of cloud technologies, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines. AWS experience is ESSENTIAL. Expertise in ensuring security, compliance, and data privacy within software products. Demonstrated ability to lead and scale engineering teams in high-growth environments, having operated as an Architect for a SaaS solution at some stage in your career. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in FinTech.
