Kew House School is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Head of Rowing to deliver, manage, and lead a high-performing school rowing programme. Founded in 2018, Kew House School Boat Club has grown into an established and well-recognised programme within the UK rowing circuit. Since our affiliation, KHSBC has won its first national medal and earned qualification at both Henley Women’s and Henley Royal Regatta. The programme consistently puts out competitive crews at regional, national, and international competitions. We pride ourselves on our inclusive family culture that supports athletes to achieve their goals, which has helped us reach the level of success we are at today. The programme has a holistic focus, offering all students at KHS an opportunity to row. We now look to build on previous results and continue to make history as a growing programme. Key Responsibilities:

Oversight of student health and well-being Clearly communicating the school’s culture and expectations Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with athletes, staff and parents Acting as a strong role model, providing mentorship and pastoral care Managing boat club staff throughout the season on/off water Producing and delivering aspirations for the season in line with Boat Club objectives General administration tasks including termly reports, race entries and email communications Act as a point of contact for parents and teachers/support staff Physical Education department related duties Oversight of risk assessments and implementation of health and safety Planning and managing the KHSBC budget with the finance department The successful applicant will be fully engaged in all levels of rowing at Kew House School Boat Club; the emphasis is on providing quality coaching and enthusiasm to all rowers at Kew House School Skills & Qualities:

A strong understanding of the junior rowing system in the UK Fantastic rapport with both students and parents Tideway coaching / rowing experience Excellent communication and administration skills International training camp experience Ability to guide and manage support staff Trailer driving experience Level 2 RYA Powerboat License Level 2 BR Club Coach Certificate Event Management (House Regattas, Annual Dinners & Fundraising BBQs) The Head of Rowing will continue to inspire a new generation of rowers in a fun and safe environment Application Dates:
