Rare opportunity to have equity in a £28m t/o, 170 headcount, £4m+ EBITDA engineering/manufacturing business specializing in aerospace and medical precision mechanical components. This role will suit someone ambitious who wants to make the next step and have the chance to have equity and ownership of a medium-sized, highly profitable business. Growth in the last 12 months of 17%+. Highly successful business with a very strong culture of friendliness and collaboration. Salary/package:

Likely to be £85,000 - £95,000 + 30% on top; but future equity potential will make this opportunity highly attractive even to those in large businesses with excellent benefits. Newly created role, so this is an approximate guide. You will need experience in mechanical precision component manufacturing (any regulated industry is fine – aero, automotive, rail, oil & gas, nuclear, etc.). Director of Manufacturing Candidate Profile:

Ambitious - wanting to take that step from being an employee to being a business owner and have an equity stake in a highly profitable £28m t/o R&D focused engineering & manufacturing business. Must have some experience in mechanical precision component manufacturing (any regulated industry is fine – aero, automotive, rail, oil & gas, nuclear, etc.). You could be a Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager looking to make the next step in your career. Alternatively, you could be a more experienced Production Director, Manufacturing Director, Operations Director, or possibly a Plant Manager. Data-driven & good with IT. The Exec team are very IT driven and analytical; utilizing IT systems to make things efficient and accurate is important. Collaborative – the business and people are friendly and committed. You will be a Manufacturing Director who engages in a nice way to lead the team (you will likely be a really good coach and lead in a collaborative manner). Strategic but we want to see examples of taking ownership and driving performance, not just reporting. An ability to ‘cut through noise to key points and focus on execution. This Director of Manufacturing role is based near Nottingham. Candidates could be located in the Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Mansfield, or close to the Nottingham/Derby region.
