Role Overview: As the Product Owner for ClearAccept, you will play a central role in defining and delivering our payments platform roadmap. With exclusive access to companies within the ClearCourse group, ClearAccept provides both a Payments Gateway for processing and a Back Office for reconciliation, funding, and fee generation. We need an agile-minded, hands-on leader with a proven background in launching payments products. Reporting to ClearAccept’s Product Director, you will work closely with our development teams, partners, and operational teams to deliver impactful products. Key accountabilities include: Define and manage ClearAccept’s roadmap, delivering products and features aligned with ClearCourse’s strategic goals and customer needs. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback. Develop comprehensive business cases for product features, outlining customer value and cost-benefit. Work with Agile teams to translate roadmaps into EPICs and Stories, leading Scrum ceremonies where necessary. Collaborate with technical, operational, and risk teams to ensure both functional and non-functional requirements are met. Conduct competitive analysis and maintain up-to-date insights on market trends. What you will bring to the role: Strong understanding of card payments, payment gateways, and acquirer responsibilities. Proven experience as a Product Owner for API-based products in an Agile environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate product roadmaps and business cases. Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across teams. Skilled with tools like MS Project, Teams Planner, and collaborative documentation tools (e.g., Confluence). Preferred experience: Experience working for a Payments Gateway, Acquirer, or Payments Facilitator. 3-5 years of Product Owner experience in a payments-focused software development environment. Familiarity with Feature Flags (e.g., Launch Darkly) and product ticketing software (e.g., Azure Dev Ops, JIRA). If this sounds like your next career step, hit
