Finance Director £100-120K & Benefits Office based - Herts/Essex region close to Stansted Airport

About the Role: Jenkins Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director on behalf of a leading logistics business that is currently on an exciting growth trajectory, in the Herts/Essex region near to Stansted Airport.

As a key board member, you will work with the MD and board members to steer the strategic direction of the group and each group company.

Your role will be pivotal in advising the Board, providing critical financial insights, and ensuring robust financial controls.

Key Responsibilities will include: Advise Board members on financial planning to maximise growth, profit, EBITDA and cash flow. Collaborate with the Board and business owners on business succession planning. Centralise finance functions within the Finance Team. Assess financial risks and benefits of business opportunities. Ensure compliance with bank and finance facility requirements. Manage international customer and supplier relationships, including FX management. Oversee VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax returns. Lead annual budgeting and cash flow modelling and provide commentary. Manage day-to-day cash requirements. Prepare and review monthly performance forecasts, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyse business areas to recommend efficiency improvements. Control CAPEX expenditures and financing. Ensure targeted returns on investments and costs. Enhance management accounting processes for better reporting accuracy. Lead the Group Finance Team, focusing on productivity and efficiency. Align financial planning with overall company strategy. Qualifications and Skills:

Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Strong background in accounting and finance ideally within Logistics or a similar sector ideally within a Group role. Expertise in budget and resource management. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Resilient, resourceful, and decisive. Hands-on approach with integrity and honesty.
