Search 5.0 are searching for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our exclusive client's team and help them deliver reliable, high-performing services to our users. This role is perfect for someone with a foundation in IT, systems administration, software development, or DevOps and a desire to deepen their skills in reliability, automation, and cloud infrastructure. What You’ll Do
Work alongside senior SREs to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the reliability of our systems. Help automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency, using scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Go. Work with our DevOps team to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. Gain experience with different database technologies such as SQL Server, Postgres, NoSQL. Participate in an on-call rotation, learning best practices in incident response and collaborating with senior team members to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. What They Are Looking For:
Some experience in software development, systems administration, or IT operations is preferred. Familiarity with Linux environments and basic networking is a plus. Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or similar) with a willingness to learn and improve. Familiarity with any major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) is an asset, but we’re happy to provide training if you’re new to cloud infrastructure. Enthusiasm for DevOps practices, such as CI/CD or automation. A problem-solving mindset, willingness to tackle technical challenges, eager to learn, and committed to finding solutions to complex problems. Willingness to collaborate, receive feedback, and continuously develop new skills. You’re excited to learn from experienced SREs and take on new challenges. Willingness to work shift work.
