Site Manager
to join our Defence and Strategic Markets team. You will be managing civil engineering projects across our varied portfolio of civil infrastructure works in safety and operationally critical environments across the UK and overseas. Reporting to a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include: Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities Site supervision Health & safety management Supervising labour and staff Producing method statements and risk assessments Site cost/value control Programming Commercial reporting Supervising construction projects and overseeing build/construction activities Liaising with clients and reporting progress Management of sub-contractors Cost monitoring and control Control of health and safety on site Quality control of all construction activities Responsible for all correspondence and record keeping in accordance with Dyer & Butler procedures You may currently be working as a Site Agent/Site Manager for a Civil Engineering Contractor or you may be a Sub Agent/Project Engineer looking to take the next step. Ideally, you should be: Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), with a successful track record managing civil engineering & infrastructure projects Experienced in project management & delivery within a safety-critical environment Fully conversant with safety regulations (particularly CDM) Possessing strong commercial acumen with knowledge of project management and NEC forms of contract Demonstrating experience with both the commercial & project deliverables on previous projects Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills Proven in managing civil engineering and building projects Holders of SMSTS Experienced in managing temporary works Having a minimum of 5 years experience as a site manager Possessing a CSCS Card – Black Having a Full Clean Driving License IT literate Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors Why join us?
