Environment and Waste Compliance Lead Home based with Travel Circa £50,000 + Excellent Benefits Are you looking to work with a global leader in the waste and recycling space? Do you have a strong knowledge base across waste compliance and looking to further develop this? We've been engaged by one of the UK's largest and most prestigious specialist waste management companies to recruit an Environment and Waste Compliance Lead. The organisation has over 20 sites nationwide and provides a critical service for their clients. Key responsibilities of the Environment and Waste Compliance Lead include: Leading on the Competence Management System for the business Constantly identifying areas for improvement of the Competence Management System and implementing solutions Conducting audits and assessments against the Competence Management System to ensure compliance Liaising with regulatory stakeholders such as the Environment Agency, preparing and submitting waste management permits A successful Environment and Waste Compliance Lead candidate will have: Compliance experience within the waste and recycling sector and an understanding of the regulatory environment Background experience with Competence Management Systems is preferred Holding or have held a WAMITAB qualification Strong background knowledge of environmental regulations and ideally previous history liaising with regulatory bodies - particularly the Environment Agency Excellent attention to detail with strong Excel skills This is an excellent opportunity to join and lead a dynamic Environment and Sustainability team, to have a real impact on the direction and outcome of their compliance journey.
