Job Summary: As a Manager, External Audit - Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for our insurance industry clients. You will be responsible for leading and managing audit teams, assessing risk, developing audit plans, and overseeing the audit process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of auditors to ensure the efficient execution of external audits for insurance clients. Develop and execute risk-based audit plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all audit activities comply with industry-specific regulations and standards, including those set forth by relevant authorities. Financial Analysis:

Review and analyze insurance company financial statements and related documents to identify any potential irregularities or non-compliance issues. Client Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships. Address client inquiries, provide guidance, and deliver audit findings and recommendations. Technical Expertise:

Stay up-to-date on evolving industry regulations, accounting principles, and auditing standards applicable to the insurance sector. Quality Assurance:

Oversee the quality control process to ensure the accuracy and completeness of audit workpapers and reports. Staff Development:

Mentor and develop audit staff, providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback to promote their professional growth. Report Generation:

Prepare and review audit reports, summarizing findings and providing recommendations for improvement. Qualifications:

Possession of a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ICAS, CPA or an equivalent accreditation. Proficiency in conducting systems/controls testing and auditing complex financial statements. Project management experience involving large, intricate engagements or cross-border projects. Excellent knowledge of UK and International GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements. Experience in effectively managing and developing staff, as well as demonstrating business development skills. Desirable qualifications include sector-specific experience, working with listed audited entities, and expertise in international group auditing.
