The opportunity: On behalf of our client, we are now searching for an enthusiastic professional to join their work-winning team as a Senior Estimator. You will be involved in complex major projects, large infrastructure schemes, as well as relatively small-scale ground engineering jobs, all of which will test your problem-solving skills and provide vast opportunities for learning and growing within this field. Responsibilities: Taking ownership of opportunities from receipt of the enquiry and up to handover with the delivery team Collaborating with the in-house engineering and delivery teams to develop appropriate tender proposals Design coordination on D&B contracts Estimating works and producing work-winning tender submissions Presenting solutions to potential clients Requirements: Ideally 5+ years’ experience in specialist civil engineering or ground engineering field Previous experience in estimating piling/slope stabilisation/ground anchoring/grouting packages Ability to manage your own time and work to deadlines Being comfortable talking to colleagues, prospective clients, external consultants and specialists, and other industry professionals Experience in estimating from first principles
