We’re looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our team in Kings Hill, West Mailing. As the Group Financial Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Westfalia Fruit International's financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This dynamic role involves diving into complex financial transactions, interpreting evolving accounting standards, and providing expert guidance to the finance team. You'll also collaborate with external auditors and support strategic financial initiatives across the organisation. Responsibilities include: Prepare monthly regional and group consolidated management accounts. Lead the group year-end timeline, ensuring adherence to the reporting timeline and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors, addressing technical accounting queries and facilitating an efficient audit process. Prepare consolidated financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with IFRS and corporate governance requirements. Interpret and apply IFRS to complex accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with global financial reporting standards. Develop and maintain group-wide accounting policies, ensuring alignment with IFRS and the company's internal controls framework. Identify, assess, and mitigate accounting risks, recommending robust control measures. Lead or support group-wide financial reporting projects, including new accounting standards implementations, and process improvements. Provide expert technical accounting guidance to the finance team and other departments as needed. Minimum Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). A strong background in Technical Accounting. In-depth knowledge and practical application of IFRS. Exposure to consolidations and group accounting in a global organisation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex financial data. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of accuracy in financial reporting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex accounting information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Desirable: Previous experience within a multinational corporation, particularly in a technical accounting or financial reporting capacity. Knowledge of accounting for M&A transactions or financial instruments. Experience with accounting systems implementation or enhancements. Familiarity with financial reporting within the FMCG or manufacturing sectors. Benefits: Hybrid working. 23 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
