A successful, growing, family-owned business is looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to support the Finance Director. This Management Accountant role will be perfect for somebody looking to develop their skills in a progressive and exciting workplace that provides services in both industry and agriculture. Somebody qualified, or nearly qualified, or qualified by experience, would suit this role and they must have experience in management accounting processes with solid Excel skills. An individual with experience of working in a SME environment, preferably in a manufacturing business, is desired but not essential.
Main Duties Include –
Preparing month-end management accounts with commentary, post accruals, prepayments, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Designing and delivering new reports.
Assisting with the monitoring of cash balances and preparation of cashflow forecasts.
Reviewing profitability of jobs and products.
Weekly payroll and analysis of timesheets.
Review of profitability of jobs and projects.
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
Bank reconciliations.
Maintaining fixed asset registers.
Supervision of stock takes.
Reviewing profitability of jobs and products.
Assisting with system improvements and upgrades.
Assistance with production of year end accounts and tax.
Developing a strong finance team, to include training more junior staff.
