There are 3 antenatal day units, one at each hospital site providing daily assessments and reviews. Our present team offer expertise in Maternal Medicine, Multiple pregnancy, Preterm Clinics with cervical length scanning, Fetal Assessment and SGA Scans and high risk Obstetrics. The department is fully supported by Obstetric Anaesthetists, Radiology and the on call team is provided back up by the Gynaecology on call team.

duties for Obstetrics is shared with 16 colleagues on an approximately 1:16 basis (resident from 17:30 hours until 23:00 hours during weekdays Monday to Friday and then non resident until 08:00) Supporting Professional Activities in accordance with the Trust Framework, with at least a minimum of 1.5 SPAs included in the core 10PA timetable. Additional SPA or DCC time may be commissioned in line with the skills of the successful candidate and changing requirements of the service.
