We are a supportive, hardworking, and friendly practice that aims to deliver the best possible customer service and clinical care to our patients. Our priority is to support all members of the team and provide a good work-life balance. We are located in Newport, which has a lower cost of living compared to larger cities. We are close to Cardiff, an incredible city with amazing pubs and restaurants, and also near the Brecon Beacons national park. Excellent transport links are available around Newport, with a train ride to Cardiff taking no more than 20 minutes. We have a supportive team of 3 Vets, 6 RVNs, and a wonderful support team. Our team includes a Vet with an Internal Medicine certificate and another with a Small Animal Surgery certificate. Additionally, we have a Vet completing Small Animal Surgery and another Vet mid-way through an Ophthalmology certificate. Our excellent facilities and equipment include digital x-ray, capnography, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and more. Our practice has recently been refurbished, creating a positive work environment and encouraging input from the team for continuous improvement. Work hours are 40 hours per week over 4 days, between 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, with 1:4 Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Over the last 7 years, we have supported, mentored, and tutored at least 6 new grads specifically for the IVC new grad academy, as well as many more Vets at the practice. The new grads have developed well both surgically and medically and have gone on to become great Veterinary Surgeons by the end of the Grad academy. Graduates will receive direct support from our senior vet team and Clinical Directors, ensuring the best possible experience and support for new grads. Be part of something bigger
