Our client on the South Coast have a vacancy for a new graduate, or experienced small animal vet to join the team on a permanent basis. This role is planned to start in Jan 2025, but there is room to discuss an earlier start.
This independent, single branch practice based in Eastleigh, Hampshire have a fantastic, supportive team and are more than able to mentor your development in this role.
The practice provides a comprehensive service to their loyal candidates and therefore the position will include some out of hours, once you are ready. This is a full time role working 4 days per week and will include Saturdays on a rota and a 1:4 OOH rota via a pager system. Night duty is likely to be overnight duty/in patient checking via a pager until the following morning. You would not need to be in the practice overnight unless a case required constant supervision. This OOH service only caters for the teams own clients, and so whilst night working is a little more frequent than it has been in the past, it is by no means every night.
The team currently consists of 7 vets who have varied experience ranging from 2 to 20 years qualified. They are supported by a large 8 RVN's and trainee nurses.
Practice facilities currently include: Endoscopy, ECG, Ultrasound, Digital x-ray, Orthopaedic equipment and a fully equipped dental suite.
This is an exciting time to join this independent practice who are in the process of expanding their premises to accommodate their expanding client base and services they want to be able to offer.
