Our internship program at Contryman Associates, P. C. is designed to support both professional and personal growth, providing a solid foundation for a career in accounting. Dependent on the time of year that they will be doing their internship with us and desired interest, interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working on real-world projects across key areas such as audit preparation, payroll processing, tax return preparation, and financial reporting. By offering internship opportunities to local college students, we aim to inspire them to pursue a career in public accounting. Key Responsibilities

Client Accounting:

Preparing bookkeeping, payroll, and the completion of various forms, such as sales tax filings, W2’s and 1099s and payroll tax returns for clients; demonstrating the ability to organize and multitask efficiently Tax Preparation:

Assisting with tax returns for individuals and businesses; ensuring accurate data entry Attest Engagements: Assist in the preparation of attest engagements, showcasing attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Business Development:

Develop associations and contribute to the growth of our firm by engaging in business development activities Communication Skills:

Your verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and client interactions Software Knowledge:

Display proficient knowledge of general office and accounting software Adherence to Standards:

Adhere to our company's vision, mission, and values Working Conditions

Interns will be provided with a dedicated office space equipped with a laptop, external monitors and necessary office supplies for their tasks. They will have access to our accounting software, including Ultra Tax, Planner, Fixed Assets, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office. Additionally, interns will have regular access to their dedicated mentor and other professionals within the firm for ongoing support to ensure their success. Minimum Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Candidate must be working towards getting an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Why Join Contryman Associates, P.C.:
