Mortgage Loan Officer for an outside sales position in Plymouth, MI . The role focuses on the origination of residential first mortgages through an external referral network, aiming to meet sales goals and credit union objectives. This position includes the opportunity for a monthly draw limit and performance-based commissions. Responsibilities: Deliver an exceptional member experience throughout the mortgage process. Develop and maintain a self-generating referral network to meet sales goals. Complete mortgage loan applications online, over the phone, or in person. Communicate with members about required information and set expectations for the application process. Pull tri-merge credit reports to ensure eligibility based on credit history and FICO scores. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential mortgage lending. Valid Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration. Solid understanding of mortgage industry lending practices and programs. Proven ability to cultivate and manage referral partnerships. Experience working in a sales-centric, goal-oriented environment. Exceptional professionalism and communication skills. Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, and databases. Experience in reaching or exceeding sales goals.
