We are currently seeking a team player with excellent attention to detail to join our Finance team in Spondon, Derby as an Accounts Clerk.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In your role as Accounts Clerk your main responsibility will be to perform weekly bank reconciliations, liaising with both Accounts Payable and Receivable to resolve any issues or imbalances as and when they arise. Some previous experience in this is a must!

You will assist the wider team with the month-end closure process to ensure an efficient service is provided to the business, by raising recharges, analysing stock in-transit and posting various accruals.

You will also reconcile GRNI and actively reduce the balance by liaising with suppliers to resolve issues and obtain missing invoices and credits.

Additionally, you will issue, review and maintain petty cash receipts as well as providing support to the Management & Assistant Accountants with any ad-hoc tasks.

ABOUT YOU

Applicants must have some previous experience in performing regular

bank reconciliations

as well as having general office experience in a Finance environment.

A good level of general computer literacy is required as well as

intermediate level Excel skills . We would also hope you could demonstrate working knowledge of a

computerised accounting system .

Ideally you would be working towards your AAT qualification, though this isn't essential.
