This is an exciting opportunity to join a large public sector employer who provide an essential service to the local communities. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will take responsibility of leading a small finance team in their daily tasks, along with having responsibility for presenting the financial results to the senior management team. About you Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5+ years PQE Excellent communication and presentation skills IT literate including strong reporting skills Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders Available at short notice What you'll do Investigate variances against budget and provide analysis of differences Provide accurate and timely management accounts and management information Assist in the preparation of forecasts & annual budgets Preparation for and complete the year end audit files
