Overview job description: This role will be responsible for the relationship management of the UK External Auditors. It will also include all aspects of technical accounting review and documentation across the business, either for management purposes or for the External Auditors. A key area of focus will be across the UK project portfolio on newly awarded projects to ensure all financial accounting technical views are agreed early. This role will also manage and co-ordinate with Legal, Tax and HR Teams on the Legal Entity Rationalisation plan, creating the necessary step plans and investigating any technical accounting complexities in order to resolve any restructuring issues. Reporting directly to the UK Financial Controller, you will deliver financial outputs relating to various UK entities. Key responsibilities are currently as follows but will vary by entity and over time: Main duties and responsibilities: Managing External Auditors and audits. Managing the Treasury, AP and Payroll functions in location. Statutory account preparation and review. Dividend proposals. Legal entity rationalisation. Providing inputs to Tax Team for various tax related submissions. Supporting and reviewing of ad-hoc projects requiring cold eyes review for the Finance Director. Applicants to this role require: Experienced Qualified Accountant. Excellent technical accounting knowledge and a willingness to investigate and resolve technical matters. Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal. Dynamic, strategic thinker. First-rate analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to people across departments. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise. Excellent at building relationships and working with other teams. Advanced Excel skills. What’s in it for me?
