The Upstream Energy Broker will be joining a specialist upstream insurance team that offers a comprehensive range of coverages including physical loss or damage, business interruption, control of well, machinery breakdown, and decommissioning risks.
This role will incorporate market negotiations and client relationship management.
Overview
Work closely with clients to understand needs and review risk information. Create bespoke risk solutions that meet client requirements. Identify appropriate markets and devise a placement strategy. Prepare slips and underwriter presentations. Lead market negotiations and resolve any subjectivities. Ensure that clients are kept updated throughout the placement process.
What is required
Experience and understanding of international upstream energy risks. Familiarity with placing risks into the Lloyds / London market. Ability to devise complex risk programmes. Ability to create market broking documentation. Strong client relationship skills.
