Duties and responsibilities cover a whole spectrum of delivery outputs including:
General Accounts Support (Sales/Purchase Ledger, Reconciliation, Expenses)
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Credit Control
Order Processing
Procurement Support
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate experience across key competencies including:
‘A’ level standard (or equivalent) of education including Maths and English to GCSE level or above
Accounting training to the level of AAT (or studying towards) or equivalent level of practical experience
Experience in a finance-based environment, ideally within an academic setting
Experience of working in a team, in a busy and demanding office environment
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on the telephone, in writing and in person, across all levels of staff
Experience of providing financial advice to non-financial staff
Highly competent in standard software packages, particularly Excel – ability to create, maintain and manipulate data
Experience of using relevant financial reporting tools
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and clarity in presentation
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to use own initiative and judgement and to be pro-active
Excellent time management and ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload to meet deadlines
