Role Overview:

CY Resourcing is excited to be partnering with a dynamic SME business in the heart of Alcester who is seeking a talented and adaptable Finance Assistant / Management Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and self-driven individual who is eager to make an impact and grow within a supportive and forward-thinking company. Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance Tasks: Accruals & Month-End Reporting: Prepare and post accruals for month-end close and assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Month-End Reconciliation: Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and aligned with accounting standards. FP&A Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial planning & analysis reports, analysing key financial metrics and variances against budgets and forecasts. Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger: Process and maintain accurate records of sales and purchase invoices. Ensure proper matching of invoices to purchase orders and payment receipts. Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for external audits, addressing audit queries and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Excel Reporting: Leverage advanced Excel skills (including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables) to prepare, manipulate, and analyse large sets of financial data for reporting and decision-making purposes. Executive Assistant Tasks (PA to Owner):

Travel & Accommodation Management: Book flights, hotels, and transportation for the business owner, ensuring travel arrangements are cost-effective and meet the required schedules. Meeting Coordination: Manage the owner's calendar, arrange meetings, and ensure that all relevant documents and materials are prepared in advance. General Administrative Support: Assist the owner with various administrative tasks as needed, including managing emails, handling confidential information, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
