A pivotal time to join our large corporate client as Tax Accountant within their Aberdeen team. This role offers an excellent career step for a qualified Tax professional looking to make their first move into Industry.
As part of a close-knit team, you will report to the Tax Manager and have a varied remit across UK Corporate Tax compliance, reporting, accounting, and advisory, as well as involvement with some US/overseas tax filings and reporting and VAT reporting. Don't worry if you haven't had exposure to all elements of this role, our client is keen to support and develop this individual and the role offers true progression opportunities.
You will have the opportunity to support with ad hoc research and advisory projects, as well as responding to internal queries from the wider business. You will work collaboratively with finance colleagues and offer support and guidance to junior members of the tax team, as required.
You must be CA/CTA qualified with a minimum of 3-4 years' experience of working in UK Corporate Tax, preferably within a Top UK firm or in-house tax team. Experience of cross-border tax concerns is especially desirable. You will be highly inquisitive and keen to broaden your tax technical knowledge, and the team are happy to provide support and training. Previous experience of UK VAT is beneficial, but not essential.
