Salary/rate: Fix term contract – MPS1 – UPS3
QT Education have been asked to recruit a Biology teacher for a coeducational secondary school and sixth form in Wiltshire. After an Ofsted inspection the school were proud to be graded as ‘Good’. This school is a thriving and successful environment for both staff members and students alike.
Role:
Deliver Biology lessons to KS3, 4 and 5.
Engage and inspire students, fostering a love for science
Contribute to the ongoing development and success of the science department
Responsible for the academic performance and behaviour of the groups taught
Plan and prepare lessons
Keep accurate records of all the work covered by all teaching groups
Keep accurate records of all students’ progress
Contribute to the schemes of work
Deliver all aspects of the curriculum
Carry out tasks allocated with the faculty/subject area
Experience, Qualifications and Training:
We seek a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Science
Must be appropriately qualified – QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
Ability to teach A ‘level Biology (advantageous but not essential).
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential). Training will be provided.
Suitable role for experienced teachers and early career teachers (ECT)

Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
Enhanced DBS with Barred List check certificate which is either on the online ‘Update Service’ or be willing to apply for a new DBS certificate
