Objective Roles and Responsibilities

Manage large Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental data sets Check data against site-specific criteria and specifications Read, interpret and fundamentally understand Earthwork Specifications and Industry Standards Supervise collection of data onsite Liaise with 3rd party testing houses Contribute to the project compliance and quality teams Schedule testing Record keeping Purchasing In-house sampling as required

Initial Roles and Responsibilities

This role would ideally suit a candidate with previous employment in a geotechnical testing house although other experience will be considered. The ideal candidate will have the ability to expand into a more technical oversight and responsibility of quality assurance for large scale earthworks projects. Capturing crucial data at key project milestones is as important as regular validation testing. Working alongside site and project managers is required. Soil management/testing experience is a MUST.

Qualifications

Minimum 2nd class Degree, HND or Equivalent from Higher Education in a Geo-Technical, Environmental, or Scientific discipline CSCS / NPORS Carded individuals would be attractive for quick deployment to 3rd party sites. WAMITAB would be reviewed also

Necessary Skills

Analytical manipulation of scientific data Ability to factor practical considerations of site work and testing/sampling times as part of wider project goals Communication at all levels – Excavator drivers to Chartered Environmental Consultants Report writing IT Skills - MS Office Driver's license

Please note that this role is office-based with regular site visits and soil management/testing experience is a MUST.
