This is a stand alone role, working closely with the board and SLT team and will involve all the day to day operational and strategic duties to support the HR function. Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (ER):
Provide advice and support to managers on performance management, absence management, and employee grievances. Lead and implement performance improvement plans as needed. Policy & Procedure Management:
Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and industry best practices. HR System Management:
Set up and maintain the HR system, ensuring accurate employee data and reporting. Recruitment & Onboarding:
Oversee new starter and leaver processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all employees. Manager Coaching:
Provide training and guidance to managers, particularly department heads, on HR best practices and compliance. Performance Reviews:
Enforce and improve the performance review process to drive accountability and employee development. Contract Management:
Review and update employment contracts, ensuring clarity and compliance. Adhoc duties:
