Cpl UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for a General Adult Consultant, NHS based in Ashford, East Kent. The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry to work full-time and it would be excellent for someone wanting to broaden their experience of inpatient psychiatry and develop their clinical skills in a supportive and challenging environment. The team is well established with good support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service and contribute to cross cover
To provide medical expertise within the Multidisciplinary Liaison Team
To act as a Responsible Clinician (Approved Clinician status) for patients detained under the MHA to the acute trust
To ensure effective liaison occurs between mental health services and the acute hospital, and also with other agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors as appropriate
