Due to continued growth, multiple opportunities have arisen for an ambitious and experienced Senior Environmental Consultants (with 3-10 years’ experience) to join SLR’s Environmental Management, Permitting & Compliance discipline in our Newcastle Office. The Role This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with support on your technical growth within the national Environmental team. You’ll also work collaboratively with other consultants across our 21 Technical Disciplines to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients. As a self-starter, you will be responsible for preparing and advising on environmental licence applications, conducting environmental audits, assisting with preparation or managing of fee proposals, developing client relationships and managing project delivery. About you To be successful in this role you will be motivated and reliable as well as having: A professional qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or other relevant degree 3-10 years post qualification experience, ideally in a consulting environment Proven capability in environmental management, permitting and compliance Sound knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental approvals legislation The ability to analyse and interpret situations and problems and develop appropriate solutions Strong project management skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proven report writing skills, high computer literacy. Excellent driving history and hold a current driver's license.
