Our client is currently recruiting for Nuclear Safety Case Engineers to join their Nuclear Power business. These roles are either for early career graduates already in a Safety Case related role or who are interested in transferring into this specialist skill area. Their offices are nationwide, with a significant number of offices around the UK that could also be used as a base location as required. We operate flexible and hybrid working arrangements and these roles can either be full time or part time.

The client is seeing an unprecedented growth in nuclear safety case opportunities. Safety Case Engineers are working collaboratively across diverse markets in the civil nuclear and Defence sectors on both national and international projects. Their work spans the nuclear lifecycle, including next-generation systems and emerging reactor technologies, supporting the operation of existing nuclear facilities and systems, and solving complex decommissioning challenges. The work demonstrates that the facility or operation can be conducted safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role will allow you to work in a growing market with an organisation that supports a diverse and extensive client base, aiding your personal and professional career development.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have experience in one of the following safety case areas: Safety Case production. Safety and Risk assessment studies, e.g. FMEA, HAZOP, ALARP. Internal and External Hazard assessments. Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA). We would also be keen to hear from you if you are interested in transferring into this discipline as part of your aspirations to support this capability area in the nuclear industry.

The key responsibilities for this role are: Delivering work to agreed budgets and timescales to ensure client satisfaction. Liaising with clients to understand their challenges and developing solutions. Representing the business in technical meetings with clients. Developing your technical capability and knowledge and working towards chartership.

Here's What You'll Need: A degree (or equivalent) in a STEM discipline. Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices. Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders. Evidence of working towards either Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
