JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a prominent accountancy practice in Stockport, is renowned for delivering first-class financial services and expert tax advice to a varied clientele. As they continue to expand, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Corporate Tax Senior to join their team. Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management:
Engage and foster relationships with a wide range of corporate clients, ensuring tax compliance needs are adeptly met. Oversee timely and accurate submission of corporate tax returns and computations. Spot and recommend tax-saving opportunities in line with current tax laws.
Technical Excellence:
Quality check tax returns and computations completed by junior members, offering constructive feedback. Stay abreast of recent tax laws to provide up-to-the-minute advice. Address corporate tax-related queries and liaise with HMRC when required.
Advisory Prowess:
Provide expert insights on matters like mergers, acquisitions, and capital allowances. Guide clients in comprehending the tax implications of varied business decisions. Assist clients during HMRC investigations, ensuring a smooth process.
Team Interaction:
Collaborate cross-departmentally to provide comprehensive financial advice. Support the professional growth of junior staff. Contribute to in-house projects focused on improving efficiency or broadening services.
Requirements: Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CTA. A minimum of 3 years experience in corporate tax within an accountancy setting. Comprehensive knowledge of UK tax laws.
