You will be joining a well-established and well-respected education provider based in the Croydon area. This role is an initial 6-month fixed-term contract and is based on-site. Please note, as this is an education provider, you will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Your new role Your role as Management Accountant is a key role supporting the finance team in month and year-end processes as well as support in the key project as they gear up for the new VAT regulations. You will be heavily involved in:
Financial analysis - Analysing VAT requirements and helping to set the organisation up for VAT reclaim - identifying all areas for VAT reclaim. Management reporting and presenting back findings to the FD. Budgeting and forecasting. Business partnering with budget holders. Working on accounting systems and Excel day to day.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you should have experience in a broad accounting role within SME - VAT knowledge (processing and understanding of rules) is essential alongside strong written and verbal communication skills. You should be a team player and confident working in a small, close-knit finance team.
