This is a really exciting time to join a leading East Lancashire Manufacturing organisation, who due to ongoing growth are looking to recruit a Company Accountant. Partnering with the Managing Director, this exciting role is responsible for the preparation and reporting of full management accounts including cashflow, balance sheet, and P&L, as well as supporting variance analyses. The Company is looking to further develop its budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to help and support business decisions (supporting the use of analysis to drive business decisions). With the role balanced between reporting and analysis, the successful candidate must have both a strong understanding of reporting standards and a naturally inquisitive, analytical mind (ability to analyse and manipulate data). The ideal candidate will be a strong influencer and communicator. In this time of growth, we would expect the Company Accountant to challenge department managers to establish ways of making savings (on spend and variances from budgets), reviewing departmental activities and the costs associated with these, reviewing pricing and costs associated with external contracts.
