Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Audit Senior to join their Southampton team. As an Audit Senior, you will play a pivotal role in the audit process, providing high-quality services to a portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will encompass planning and executing audit assignments, leading audit teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers a unique chance to showcase your expertise, develop your leadership skills, and contribute to the continued success of a top-tier firm. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage audit engagements, overseeing the entire audit process from planning to completion. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business operations and financial objectives. Coordinate and mentor audit teams, providing guidance and support to junior team members. Review and analyse financial statements, identifying areas for improvement and compliance with accounting standards. Stay updated on changes in audit regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Participate in business development efforts, identifying opportunities for growth and new client acquisition. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, sharing insights and innovative ideas within the team. Qualifications and Skills: ACA or ACCA qualification. Substantial audit experience (X+ years) within a reputable accountancy firm. Strong knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions and team leadership. Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide junior team members. Proficiency in auditing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work. Proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
