W&A is partnering with an established manufacturer based in Fife as they seek to hire a Financial Controller. The Finance Controller will support the delivery & efficient operations of the International Finance function. This is a critical role holding key responsibilities for accurate & timely financial reporting for the business. This role will operate on a hybrid basis.
About the Role:
Required Experience & Skills:
Professional accountancy qualification
Experience in a similar financial control role
Excellent communication & organisational skills, with attention to detail
Focused on delivering operational excellence within structured timeframes
Excellent IT skills, with the ability to manipulate large data sets, produce accurate & cohesive reports for management
Previous experience of statutory accounts & corporation tax beneficial
Previous experience in a customer focussed environment beneficial
Previous experience of MS Dynamics systems beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating the periodic close for international business units
Consolidated monthly reporting of results for international, including financial KPIs & flash reporting
Responsible for P&L management
Leading the balance sheet review, ensuring reconciliations are completed in time
Manage operational finance team, ensuring the delivery of key processes
Deputise for the Finance Director, administrator responsibilities for key systems
Support line manager on matters relating to legal entities including reporting, audit & statutory accounting
Supporting the control environment via the development of processes & procedures, including the ERP & system enhancements
Mentoring & development of the team
