We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Risk Analyst to join our Central Management department here at Simmons & Simmons.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out reviews of and evaluating processes or systems to ensure the appropriate risk management oversight and infrastructure exist to measure, monitor, and control such risks.

You will have key relationships with the Operational & Supplier Risk Manager, the Chief Operating Officer and Enterprise Risk Teams, and will work across all Simmons & Simmons office locations.

What will you do: Assisting risk owners and managers in the completion of risk assessments and associated risk mitigation action plans. Undertake the maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Registers. Manage the Third-Party Risk Assessment system and processes. Provide management reporting on key risk and control indicators. Oversee the operational risk incident management process to guarantee that timeliness, integrity, and quality control are maintained. Ensure appropriate reviews of the impact of operational incidents and root cause and business impact analysis. Monitor, review, and communicate the impact to the Firm's risk profile of future initiatives, including undertaking new product assessments, targeted risk reviews, and assessing major business changes. Stay abreast of current industry standards. Develop and maintain technical knowledge of systems and data to ensure optimal use of technology. Maintain relationships with local, functional and international points of contact to facilitate.

What we are looking for: Solid understanding of process, risk, and control design concepts and governance from an operational risk management or audit perspective. A working knowledge of the operations of a professional services organisation, preferably a law firm and experience of implementing risk mitigation plans. Diligence, well-organized, ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to produce standard and ad hoc reports for specific audiences and research analysis experience. Ability to handle information and business affairs confidentially as appropriate. Proven ability to complete tasks and to effectively manage multiple priorities under time pressure. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Good academic credentials. Experience of working in a law firm would be a plus. Commercially driven. Able to work effectively as part of a diverse, cross-functional and inclusive team. Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required.
