Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Newly Qualified Construction Litigation Solicitor to join our respected Construction Law team. This is a unique opportunity for a recently qualified solicitor to start their legal career at a leading firm, working on complex and high-stakes construction litigation cases. You will gain hands-on experience and develop your skills within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

As a key member of the team, you will handle a wide range of high profile & complex types of construction litigation for claimants and defendants, with a client-centric, solution-focused approach. Identifying the unique and relevant commercial drivers, the commercial imperatives for resolution and then determining the correct and relevant actions.

Key Accountabilities

To play a pivotal role in the Construction team, helping to drive market share and brand presence, managing a varied caseload of litigation matters.

Dispute Resolution – Assisting in handling a variety of contentious construction matters, including contract breaches, professional negligence claims and delays.

Litigation Support – Preparing for and assisting in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations, including drafting pleadings, witness statements and expert reports.

Client Interactions – Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear and practical advice tailored to their specific needs and objectives.

Legal Research – Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.

Document Management – Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Collaboration – Work closely with senior Solicitors and other team members, to contribute to case preparation and strategy discussions.

Essential Skills

A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales

Experience gained within a construction litigation team at a City/national firm.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Commercially astute with sound judgement skills and knowledge of running due diligence and disclosure processes

A keen interest driving and participating in team business development initiatives

Proactive ‘Can do’ attitude with a flexible approach to working under pressure

Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

Diligent, rigorous, and consultative approach to work
