Contribute and collaborate with the Financial Reporting team with the delivery of the monthly, half yearly and annual financial and regulatory reporting for Utmost Life and Pensions and its subsidiaries. Reporting is done on the following basis UK GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II. Assist in providing input and contribute to the new business development with specific focus on bulk purchase annuities. Actively participate in the Finance Transformation projects, which will include the delivering of a new general ledger and associated processes. Preparation and reconciliation of working papers and trial balance to support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes. All financial reporting processes should operate within a controlled environment. Analyse results and query figures and provide insights on the data available. Assist with the preparation of the monthly MI and provision of commentary. Liaison with third parties where required, including external auditors and fund custodians, to progress resolution of any queries. Support of the ongoing Finance projects (system; regulatory). Ad hoc tasks as required. Comply with the FCA's Conduct and Consumer Duty rules and the PRA's conduct standards. Notify the Regulator(s) of matters reasonably expected to be notified. Ability to understand what is important/critical in terms of implementation of new business and/or projects. Numerate and accurate with a keen eye for detail. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as problem solving skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative manner with all parts of the business. Confidence in dealing with other business areas to ensure they deliver timely and appropriate data and information. Team player, with highly flexible approach to work, especially during reporting periods. Ability to organise and prioritise workloads. Organised and structured way of working, and able to challenge others in the team to work in the same way. Expectation to be able to work independently as well as playing a key role within the team. Experience and Qualifications: Essential

Qualified Accountant (ACA; ACCA) Good working knowledge of General Ledger and Microsoft Excel. Strong financial analyst skills able to solve complex problems that have broad impacts. Knowledge of systems implementation. Desirable:

Experience of Insurance Financial Reporting either through audit or in insurance companies. Knowledge of IFRS17 requirements.
