Part-time 15 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity based in the Black Country is looking to recruit an Counsellor (Adults) to join their team. Synopsis of duties: Provide time-limited person centred counselling to adults who have been affected by violence and abuse, in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s (BACP) Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions Manage a caseload of up to 9 clients over the 15 hour period, completing necessary records of sessions and administration Ensure that client feedback is obtained using evidence based tools to assess and evaluate the impact of counselling on the client Ensuring client information is recorded correctly and updates regularly within agreed timescales Follow up after sessions, such as contacting other agencies, safeguarding concerns, email correspondence, IDVA/ISVA updates, GP letters, etc Encourage clients to access wellbeing services Ensuring that all safeguarding risks are shared with the Counselling and Wellbeing Manager Take an active part in the development of the counselling and wellbeing service and other victim services ensuring that the experience of the people counselled is shared and changes reflect their needs Essential Requirements : Education to degree level or Diploma minimum Level 6 in Counselling Conducted a minimum of 250 hours ace to face counselling experience Member of a recognised relevant professional body (ie. BACP, UKCP or similar) Experience working with women, men and children in crisis/experiencing trauma Experience carrying a caseload Knowledge of Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy (VAWG) Preferred knowledge of the Criminal Justice Process Must have a driving license and access to a vehicle Supporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency.
