We are looking to engage a Management Accountant / Finance Manager who is immediately available on a part-time basis

(initially 2 days per week).

Lipa Care Limited is a care-at-home organisation based in

Whitchurch

(Shropshire) and

Nantwich

(Cheshire) with ambitious plans to grow the business over the next five years. We identify ourselves as a

Domiciliary Care M&A startup . Our two branches were acquired in 2023, and we now have a combined workforce of around 70 employees.

Tasks The Management Accountant will initially oversee the finance function for the two current operations and for the right applicant, there may be an opportunity for this to become a full-time role as the group expands.

Responsibilities will include:

Leading and supporting the finance function at each site and if so required assisting in the day to day accounting entries for the cashbook, petty cash, sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll;

Reviewing and improving the day-to-day accounting processes;

Maintain an adequate Fixed Asset Register to include a record of all additions, disposals, and depreciation ensuring that the register is reconciled at least monthly to the relevant nominal ledger accounts within the trial balance;

Reconciling monthly all balance sheet components, calculating prepayments & accruals, and posting the monthly journals to produce the trial balance;

Producing, and improving, the monthly management accounting pack;

Overseeing the timely delivery of weekly financial KPI information as required;

Undertaking ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required;

Provide support for the annual audit process;

Provide information and analysis for any business planning, budgeting and forecasting process.

Requirements Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant (preferably CIMA, ACA or ACCA), although part-qualified applicants will also be considered. You should be able to demonstrate at least 2 years prior experience in a similar role and be proficient in working with both Microsoft Excel and Xero. Applicants with prior experience within a care organisation will be prioritised.
