ASAP Are you a passionate and experienced Home Manager looking for your next challenge? Howard Finley Care are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Home Manager to join a small, 20-bedded residential care home in the beautiful town of Brecon.
About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to manage a well-established home that is in the process of being sold. As the new owners take over, this client is looking for a Home Manager who can seamlessly transition with them, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality care and a smooth changeover. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home's operation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a committed team to provide exceptional care to their residents.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring it operates efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop the care team, promoting a positive and supportive working environment. Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the financial stability of the home. Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders. Ensure that the home continues to deliver high-quality care and meets all CQC standards. Facilitate a smooth transition during the home's change of ownership, working closely with the new owners.
What We're Looking For: A registered manager with experience in a similar role, either within a nursing or residential care setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team. Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and a proven track record of maintaining compliance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. A compassionate approach to care and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Qualifications: Registered with the relevant regulatory body (NMC and/or CQC). Previous experience as a Home Manager in a nursing or residential care setting is essential. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or higher.
